This is...something I got, but still haven't used

This week's This is... theme, brought to you by the lovely Flossy-P, is something I got but still haven't used.

Well, I bought these colourful little ceramic pots at least six months ago, with visions of baking little individual puddings in them. I am a complete sucker for bright multi-coloured crockery, and I LOVE individual 'anythings' (think individual pies, tarts, you name it, I probably love it). So of course I couldn't resist them.

And yet here they are. Pristine, and as yet unused. I almost used them tonight, as I had thought of doing little self-saucing chocolate puddings in them for dessert (we are doing a big Sunday roast lamb dinner for the extended family). But my sister offered to make an apple and rhubarb crumble...and who in their right mind says no to that!!!

So in the cupboard they stay, for yet another day...

Who could resist these, they are gorgeous and will still be great to look at if you never use them!

They are lovely just to look at.

They're sweet, Bec! They would look lovely even lined up on a window sill with teeny tiny pots of herbs in them. :o)

They're gorgeous!
I use my ramekins for dips and sauces when I'm having a party just so they get used!

What bright and beautiful colors. I wouldnt have been able to say no to them either, although I prob. would have used them to store my buttons in :)

They are so sweet! I'm with curlypops - as a non-cooker, I love to use stuff like these for dips and stuff (that I've bought pre-made of course)

I'm sure you'll get to use them soon after all these great suggestions. They are very cute ramekins!

I love those and have been tempted by ones like them at the Crate and Barrel outlet. I think I have the orange one still in my Halloween things.

Molten Lava Cakes...do it.

So incredibly cute! We use little pots of that size for little snacks like nuts.

So close.... Next time your sister offers to make dessert (no matter how delicious it is) tell her to step away! There are colourful pots to be used!

They're gorgeous by the way. I'm currently on the hunt for cups like that. We have different coloured mugs at the moment, but slowly and surely we are breaking one at a time... we're down to 3. I need more, but can't find any non-boring ones anywhere.

They are a lovely set. They would look great with chocolate pudding in them for sure. I'm with you though - who can resist crumble.

I love this set - especially the colours. They would look SO good filled with lovely puddings. Hope you enjoyed the crumble!

Hi Bec,

Just caught up on reading your blogs for the past few weeks, as I have been very busy working. I love all of the things you make, you are very creative. Reading your blogs makes me realise how important it is to slow down and appreciate the smaller things in life.

Love Kahli

I love those cheerful looking ceramic pots! Can't wait to see photos of them filled with yummy chocolate pudding ;)

...that's if the pudding lasts long enough to be photographed. It wouldn't around me!
